The Donald Trump blog is dead
Like too many web kingdoms from Yore, the Donald Trump blog page is no longer. CNBC reports that the site, from Donald J. Trump’s desk, has been permanently closed. Trump senior Aide Jason Miller confirms that it will not return, and add “it only helps for the wider effort we have and is working.” If you will remember, the Trump blog is a preemptive response to the decision of the Facebook Supervisory Board regarding the prohibition of social networking on the former president. (The Supervisory Board then approved the ban, but pushed the ball back to the Facebook court for the final verdict.)
I understand, running the blog is difficult, so Trump may not be aware of the commitment involved. After being banned by Facebook and Twitter, following his alleged incitement on the Capitol Riot January 6, Trump and his team claimed that he would return to the internet with a new communication platform. The Barebones blog didn’t really match the bill, and Miller then claimed the Trump team had something else in the work. There are always podcasts and ticks, after all.
